Isha Mukesh Ambani is an Indian entrepreneur and businesswoman. She is the daughter of Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani who is the third richest person in Asia. He has a net worth of around $38 billion making him one of the richest people in the world.
Early Life and Education
Isha was born on 23rd October, 1991 in Mumbai, India. She grew in South Mumbai neighborhood of Colaba and lived with her family in a residential building ‘Seawind’ owned by her billionaire grandfather Dhirubhai Ambani. She currently lives in Antilla, a 22-storey building worth over $1 billion, with her parents.
Isha attended the Dhirubhai International School. She later went to Yale University and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and South Asian studies. She then enrolled at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and got her MBA.
Career
Isha began her career as a business analyst for McKinsey & Company, a management consultancy firm. In 2014, she became a member of the board of directors at Reliance Retail and Reliance Jio.
She launched online fashion retailer AJIO in April 2016 at that year’s Lakme Fashion Week. AJIO is a subsidiary company of Reliance Retail and Ambani is in charge of management and branding at AJIO.

Jio is currently one of the 3 largest telecom providers in India. The idea for Jio was however seeded by Isha in 2011. She had come for holidays from Yale and found the internet at her to be really slow when she tried submitting some coursework.
Isha and her brother stated that telecommunications was voice-based in the old world. Money was made on calls during that period, but in 2011 everything had become digital. Their father Mukesh Ambani was thus convinced that broadband technology was going to be the future and that India should be at the forefront.
Subsequently, Isha and Akash inaugurated the employee launch of the 4G services of Jio. Shah Rukh Khan, the brand ambassador of Jio was also present there.

In 2018, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal tied the knot in a grand ceremony held at Mumbai’s Ambani residence, Antilia. Recently, the couple welcomed twins into their family, Aadiya and Krishna, born on November 19th, 2022.
