Finley Elaine Griffin and Ford Wilson Cameron- Griffin are the two kids of Blake Griffin  the famous American basketball player.

Blake Griffin is an American professional basketball player who was born on March 16, 1989, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is a power forward for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

 

 

Early Life

Blake Griffin was born to Tommy and Gail Griffin. His father was a basketball center at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and his mother was a schoolteacher. Griffin has an older brother named Taylor, who played basketball at the University of Oklahoma and later played professionally in Europe.

Griffin attended Oklahoma Christian School, where he was a standout basketball player. As a senior, he averaged 26.1 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, leading his team to a 27–3 record and a state championship. Griffin was named the Oklahoma Player of the Year and was also named to the McDonald’s All-American team.

College Career

Griffin played college basketball for the University of Oklahoma. He was named the Big 12 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year in both his freshman and sophomore seasons. In his sophomore season, he averaged 22.7 points, 14.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He also led the nation in rebounding and double-doubles.

NBA Career of Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin was selected as the first overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. In his rookie season, he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year and was also selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Griffin became known for his spectacular dunks and was invited to participate in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Weekend.

Over the years, Griffin established himself as one of the premier power forwards in the NBA, making multiple All-Star Game appearances and All-NBA team selections. He played for the Clippers for the first nine seasons of his career before being traded to the Detroit Pistons in 2018.
