Juanita Katt – Daughter of Bill Williams and Barbara Hale | Siblings

Juanita Katt is the daughter of Barbara Hale and Bill Williams, both well-known figures in the entertainment industry. Bill Williams was an American television and film actor, particularly famous for his leading role in the television series “The Adventures of Kit Carson,” which aired from 1951 to 1955. Juanita Katt was born to Barbara Hale and Bill Williams on December 22, 1953, in Los Angeles, California, USA, making her 69 years old as of 2022. She has two siblings named Jody Katt and William Katt.

Barbara Hale, Juanita Katt’s mother, was an accomplished American actress renowned for her portrayal of legal secretary Della Street in the television series “Perry Mason.” Her exceptional performance earned her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1959. She reprised the role of Della Street in 30 Perry Mason made-for-television movies.

Juanita Katt’s parents, Barbara Hale and Bill Williams, met in 1945 during the filming of “West of the Pecos.” They fell in love and dated before eventually getting married on June 22, 1946, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their loved ones.

Unfortunately, Juanita Katt’s parents’ marriage came to an end with the passing of her father, Bill Williams, who succumbed to cancer on September 21, 1992. He passed away at the age of 77 from a brain tumor and was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills).

Barbara Hale, Juanita Katt’s mother, passed away at the age of 94 on January 26, 2017, at her home in Sherman Oaks, California. She died from complications related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Barbara Hale rests in peace at Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Hollywood Hills) alongside her husband.

Both Bill Williams and Barbara Hale received recognition for their contributions to the entertainment industry. Bill Williams has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame located at 6161 Hollywood Blvd. Barbara Hale was honored with a Star of Television marker on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1628 Vine Street on February 8, 1960. She also received the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress (Continuing Character) in a Dramatic Series in 1959 and was nominated for an Emmy in 1961 for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role by an Actor or Actress in a Series. In 2001, she was presented with a Golden Boot Award for her contributions to western cinema.

Juanita Katt’s brother, William Katt, is a notable American actor and singer. He gained recognition for his role as Tommy Ross in the original film version of “Carrie” (1976) and starred in television series like “The Greatest American Hero.” He appeared alongside his mother, Barbara Hale, in nine Perry Mason television films between 1985 and 1988, where she reprised her role as Della Street. In addition to his notable roles, William Katt acted in films such as “First Love” (1977), “Big Wednesday” (1978), and “Butch and Sundance: The Early Days” (1979).
