Jiah Khan Dead – Commits Suicide at the age of 25 !

 Bollywood actress Jiah Khan is dead, she committed suicide by hanging herself at her home. The 25 year old actress was found hanging at her Juhu residence.  The actress who was brought up in England had just shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya.

The police interrogated her watchman, maid and neighbors to find out the last visitors to her home. The statement has been issued that Jiah Khan died at 11 PM on June 3, 2013 and no suicide note has been found.  The body was then sent to Cooper Hospital for postmortem.

Nafisa Khan, was born on February 209, 1998 in New York.  She was the daughter of an Indian-American Ali Rizvi Khan and a small-time actress from the 80s, Rabiya Amin, who had starred in Tahir Hussain’s Dulha Bikta Hai.
Jiah Khan studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York which she quit after she got her debut movie offer. 
The first film of Jiah Khan was supposed to be Tumsa Nahin Dekha, a Mukesh Bhatt film which she backed out because she felt she was not mature enough for the role. The role eventually went to Dia Mirza who interestingly was the first one to break the news of Jiah Khan’s death on Twitter.  Two years on, in 2009, Jiah Khan debuted in Nishabd, a controversial Lolita film, opposite Amitabh Bachchan. 

Why did Jiah Khan commit suicide ? – The Reason

A source close to the actress said, “She has been depressed for some time due to some personal problems but was excited about returning to acting soon. She was also meeting a few filmmakers for projects.”

Suraj Pancholi was Jiah Khan’s boyfriend and he was the last person, she had called before she took the step.  A friend said that Jiah who was  a reserved person by nature, in the past few days, she kept to herself and had even stopped going to the gym.

The time of Jiah Khan’s death was between 10:53 PM and 11:02 PM. The police say that she threw a bouquet of flowers out of her house at 10:15 PM. She was on the phone call with her boyfriend Suraj Pancholi from 10:30 PM to 10:45 PM.  Her mother found her hanging from the fan at 11. 22 PM, 

Jiah Khan, also known as Nafisa Khan, made her debut in Bollywood opposite Amitabh Bachchan in the 2007 film Nishabd. She also had a small but crucial role in Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan. Jiah also starred opposite Akshay Kumar in Housefull. She was nominated for Filmfare  Best Debutant for her role in Nishabd.

Jiah Khan’s last tweet was, “So sorry I have been off twitter! Took a bit of a break from twitter verse.. sometimes u need a sabbatical to recollect ur thoughts.”

Amitabh Bachchan, expressed his shock, “-WHAT …!!! Jiah Khan ??? what has happened ? is this correct ? unbelievable !!!”

  1. Very Selfish of her. The pain she has caused loved ones and her family must be unbearable. I have no sympathy, because the pain she has caused her family and friends is much worse than the pain she must have went through. Losing a loved one or a family member at a young age is much worse than not having money, a career or a partner. People that think about commiting suicide should also think about the knock on impacts this would cause.
