Mayanti Langer is a glamorous sports journalist. She was born on February 8, 1985 in New Delhi. Her father Lt. General Sanjiv Langer worked in the UN while mother Preminda Langer is a teacher. Mayanti studied in Hindu College and took up Arts as her stream. Later, she went to study in the US as her father worked for UN in the country. She took an active interest in football and followed it in great detail. Soon, she became one of the anchors for FIFA beach football.
The 1. 71 meter tall Mayanti got the role of a host and associate producer for a program called ‘Football Café’ on Zee Sports. She then hosted Nehru Cup on Zee Sports. Her anchoring met with terrific response after which she was hired as host for 2010 FIFA World Cup broadcast on ESPN, her job included pre-match, half-time coverage and post match analysis. Her hosting reached across to millions of viewers. Her other sports programs that she has been hosting included the 2010 Commonwealth Games, 2010 World Cup Cricket, India vs South Africa Test series in 2013 (for Ten Sports), Champions League 2014 and World Cup Cricket 2015.
The bold and beautiful Langer is married to cricketer Stuart Binny, the son of former test cricketer Rogger Binny. The wedding took place in 2012.
Mayanti says that outside her professional life, she is a reserved person and likes to have an open-minded approach to life. She says that she likes to learn things and improve on her personality.
